How It Works
Process
The Multi Screw Press feeds conditioned sludge into an enclosed screw chamber where multiple intermeshing screws rotate slowly, progressively compressing the material and squeezing out free water through a perforated screen. The filtrate drains continuously while dewatered sludge cake discharges from the outlet end. A self-cleaning mechanism prevents screen blinding, ensuring uninterrupted operation across varying sludge characteristics.
Sludge Conditioning & Feed

Sludge is dosed with polymer flocculant via the integrated dosing system before entering the press, promoting floc formation for effective water release.

Progressive Screw Compression

Multiple screws rotate at low speed, gradually building pressure along the chamber length to extract moisture without high mechanical stress on components.

Working Principle
Filtrate Drainage

Separated water drains through the screen and is returned to the treatment system, while the dewatered cake progresses toward the discharge outlet.

Cake Discharge

Dewatered sludge exits at the outlet end at 20–22% dry solids and transfers directly to downstream handling, bagging, or drying systems.

Self-Cleaning Screen

Intermeshing screw rings continuously clean the filtration screen during operation, preventing clogging and maintaining consistent throughput without manual cleaning intervals.
